Malaysians Can Carve Name In Creative Sector Internationally
KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 (Bernama) -- Malaysians are capable of carving a name in the creative industry sector in the global arena, said Information Communication and Culture Deputy Minister Senator Datuk Maglin Dennis D'Cruz.
He noted, while many able Malaysians were already involved in the movie, film and entertainment industry, they could always do with many more.
"Today, we have three of the best professional teams coming together to help educate Malaysians in the field of audio production, film making, digital journalism, cross-media animation and 3D modeling," he said in his speech at the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony involving SAE Institute, Dream Chorus Sdn Bhd and Niszel Studios Sdn Bhd.
Also present at the event was Foreign Deputy Minister Senator A. Kohilan Pillay.
As the entertainment industry was ever transforming, D'Cruz said the only way possible to improve the standard of production was to equip those involved in the industry with proper technical knowledge.
