Irwansyah, Wife Among Four Artistes Caught Partying With Drugs

JAKARTA, Jan 27 (Bernama) -- Popular Indonesian actor Irwansyah and his wife Zaskia Sungkar besides Raffi Ahmad and Wanda Hamidah were among four artistes caught with 13 other suspects while partying with drugs at Raffi's home in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Sunday morning.
They were caught by a team from Indonesia's National Anti-Narcotics Agency in a dawn raid at Raffi's house following a public tip-off.
Their arrest along with the other suspects was announced by the agency's head Anang Iskandar at a press conference here this afternoon.
He said the team also seized undisclosed amounts of drugs believed to be cannabis and phsycotropic pills at the house.
Raffi, who is also the former boyfriend of singer Yuni Shara, the elder sister of famous Indonesian singer Krisdayanti, prior to this had been reported to have offered himself to be a candidate for Parti Amanat Nasional (PAN) in the Indonesia's 2014 parliamentary election.
Local media later reported PAN's deputy president Dradjad Wibowo as saying that the party would not hesitate to drop Raffi from its candidates list if the actor was confirmed to be involved in drugs.
